Hotel Sant'Elena

This former convent takes its name from the most verdant district in Venice, an island of unspoiled serenity on the eastern shore of the city's fabled lagoon. Built to emphasize comfort and leisure as well as historic architecture, the hotel lies amidst groves of stately trees adjacent to the gardens of the Biennale art exhibition and the monastery of the Olivetani monks. This hotel is the only one in the historical centre of Venice which is surrounded by green open space. The hotel is only 15 minutes walk from the famous St. Marks Square and can be reached by taking a panoramic walk along the Riva degli Schiavoni, with its unique scenery. Alternatively, St. Marks Square can be reached in 5 minutes by water bus; the pier is located only 150 metres from the hotel.
